At Dauntless Fitness we pride ourselves in delivering our members with an amazing coaching experience, from the minute you step through the door.

It is our mission to help you become the fittest, strongest, happiest and healthiest version of yourself.
We do that by using our tailored training programme that has multiple variations available, based on your background, fitness level and skill level. Which is taught to you by one of our experienced coaches in a smaller class environment, surrounded by other like minded individuals that are also looking to improve themselves.
We don’t do contracts at Dauntless as we let our coaching and programming do the talking.
We believe our members should only be with us if they WANT to be, not because they are stuck in a contract!
Since we have taken over at ‘The Yard’ we have implemented not just our coaching strategies and tailored programming, but also the principles, values and community spirit that made the original Dauntless Fitness Gym (CrossFit Blaydon) so popular.
We have made some big improvements to the gym itself since the takeover such as a total gym floor refit, more cardio equipment and weights, plus we have doubled the available timetable!

I’ve been going to The Yard for a good few years now and without a doubt one of the things which makes it special for me is the people who go. The community is so strong and supportive which makes a massive difference.
The Yard covers all ability ranges, from the lower end (like mine) to competition winners so everyone is included and encouraged to progress.

I’ve been a member at the yard for 18 months, after searching for a place to train with the right community and support for a number of years.
I can honestly say I’ve only ever found the same community spirit, support and guidance from staff only once in the past.
I’m 51 years old, joining the gym when I was 49, and have found the training to be transformative. It’s great to train with like minded and similarly focused individuals, with varying ranges of capability, capabilities that go from training to just to remain fit and strong (like myself and others) to athletes that are training for competitions….. and winning!!
The staff are amazingly attentive to training athletes needs and are there providing guidance at all times, including through the classes.
Classes are varied and aim to cover a complete training package. The class timetable caters for anyone with a busy life with plenty of classes through the week and at weekends..
I would highly recommend anyone joining from the beginner, like me, to more accomplished athletes..
